Knights Blade Charter
Overview:
We are a family guild that is governed by a council of fellow players. We are not a raiding guild however we will do some here and there for epics and items of interest. We are here to have fun. We do not have many requirements. We do ask that you group and help others in the guild however it is not a requirement to do so.
The following are the rules to be followed at ALL times by ALL guild members. Failure to follow the rules as laid out here will result in removal from Knights Blade at the discretion of the council.
The Council will be available to handle member problems independently as they arise and request assistance from other council members as they deem appropriate. This does NOT mean that council members will be expected to rush to the aid of a member in a non-emergency situation. Emergency situations such as harassment by other players will be addressed immediately by ALL Available Council Members.
The Master Council will handle any internal problems. The Master Council alone will mete disciplinary action. Failure to heed the Master Council in internal matters will be grounds for dismissal. Should a Council Member be involved in the dispute, they shall not have a voice in the decision. The guild leader may make decisions out of the bounds of the rest of these rules. This includes recruitment, punishment, and removal from the guild. If you do not agree with these decisions, email all council members as well as the guild leader. A Council meeting will be called and the matter voted on. ALL Council members will need to be present at the meeting.
All members are requested to render assistance to other players, whether or not they are KB members, as immediately and completely as possible.
You are NOT to steal kills for ANY Reason. Any member observed stealing kills by the master council will be dismissed IMMEDIATELY.
You are to speak politely when using the Guildsay, Shout, OOC, Say, and Auction Channels, or when speaking with unknown individuals.
If you are a master of any trade, we ask that you use your skills to benefit the guild. You are not required to do this, but it would be helpful to all members in need.
All members are asked to involve themselves in the guild. Come to the events and participate in the activities whenever possible. Spread the word of our guild. If you choose to make your character Anonymous, turn on the Role-play switch so your guild name shows PROUDLY. Let everyone know just how fine a guild we have!
TRY to get along with your fellow members. If you have ideological or philosophical differences with another member, RESPECT his or her right to hold their opinions. If there is a conflict between members that can not be resolved by the members themselves, inform one of the Master Council. ALL conflicts will be handled confidentially and fairly. First and foremost, DO NOT carry a conflict into public channels or Guildsay... KEEP IT PRIVATE.
When you are spoken to in guildsay a response is appreciated. Don't try to reply if you are in Battle. We don't want our members to become babbling corpses! When the battle is over, scroll up (shift + page-up) and try to give a response if nobody else has. Even an "I Don’t Know" is appropriate. Everyone in the guild is important. Make sure everyone feels important and NOT ignored.
ALL Members will extend the same respect to each other as they would to the Masters Council.
Council Members are to give possible members the website address and any other information the prospective member will need to gain entrance to the guild. ALL new recruits will be subject to a probationary period for evaluation by the officers and other members.
Keep the guild's reputation in mind. If what you are about to do would cause the guild to be looked down upon, DO NOT do it! Above ALL, the honor of the guild should be the most important consideration in ALL actions of ALL members.
Do make sure to role-play when around people who are role-playing, and in all zone wide channels (except for OOC of course). EverQuest is a role-playing game. Speak like that race and class would talk. You are your character.
HAVE FUN! Enjoy yourself. If a situation gets you angry, move on. Norrath is a huge world with lots to offer. It doesn’t pay to bring real-life baggage into the world of Norrath. Immerse yourself in the world and your character, and take a break from the headaches of real-life. You will find the game much more enjoyable, and so will those around you!
